[AMERICANS ABROAD] It was a rough weekend for Americans in the English Premier League. One of the worst gaffes by Tim Howard in his EPL career cost Everton a win against Wigan in a match that ended 1-1. Zak Whitbread went off with a hamstring in the first half of Norwich City's 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers. Clint Dempsey's Fulham endured a 3-0 loss at EPL leader Manchester City. In Portugal, Oguchi Onyewu was sent off in the second half of Sporting's 1-0 loss to Gil Vicente in the Taca de Liga. Arturo Alvarez made his debut for Pacos de Ferreira in the same competition.
