[TULSA] Former U.S. under-17 Tarik Salkicic is the prize recruit in Tulsa's 2012 recruiting class. The midfielder is considered the top prospect coming out of Florida.

Salkicic represented the USA at the 2011 Under-17 World Cup in Mexico, making an appearance against the Czech Republic. Salkicic was also a two-year letterwinner at Seminole High School.

"Tarik is a strong central midfield player with good feet and a good passing ability," Tulsa coach Tom McIntosh. "He will give us strength at the defensive center-midfield position and will have the potential to make an immediate impact."

The freshmen class includes Bradley Bourgeois, Bryce Follensbee, Marcus Jordan, Benjamin LaCourse and Cristian Mata. Senior goalie Mark Pais has transferred from Saint Louis.
