Sounders and Crew send off big academy classes

[COLLEGE RECRUITS] The Seattle Sounders had 14 players from their under-18 team commit to college programs, while Columbus had a dozen Crew Juniors and Crew Soccer Academy products commit to Division I programs. Among the MLS academy players off to college are D.C. United's 2011 All-Development Academy U-15/16 defender Jalen Robinson, who will play at Wake Forest. Michael Ambrose and Danny Garcia from FC Dallas' 2011 U-17/18 national runner-up are headed to Maryland and North Carolina, respectively. The Crew's Andrew Souders, the 2010 NSCAA/ People to People Boys Youth Player of the Year, signed with national-power Akron. For the Sounders, Aaron Kovar will attend Stanford after being named the 2011 Gatorade Washington State Player of the Year. For MLS clubs that announced academy signings ...
