Ajax technical director Danny Blind and the Amsterdam club's board resigned following the court victory former Ajax star Johan Cruyff, an Ajax board member, won to block the appointment of Louis van Gaal as general manager.

"I have a clear vision of Ajax's future and van Gaal's arrival is part of that," said Blind. "Now that his arrival is no longer the case I can't and don't want to continue."

Van Gaal and Cruyff, backed by 15 Ajax coaches, have clashed in the past. Both are former Ajax coaches.
