[ID2 NATIONAL SELECTION] U.S. Club Soccer will send 18 players on its annual id2 National Selection International Tour. This year's trip will take the under-14 team Feb. 17-27 to Spain, where it will face teams from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, as well as a combined match against Espanyol and Cornella in the opener.

PDA leads all teams with three players on the team. St. Louis Scott Gallagher is the only other of the 15 clubs represented with more than one player.

Two of the players, Logan Panchot and Kevin Silva, will return to the id2 National Selection squad.

The highlight will be a tour of the famous L'Estadi Camp Nou -- Barcelona's home -- on Monday before heading to its training complex for a game Tuesday night.

“We are very excited to have such a great collection of talented young players from all over the country assembled for the 2012 id2 National Selection International Tour,” said Gerry McKeown, id2 Boys program director. “They will have a tremendous opportunity to not only compete against the youth academies from some of the world’s best clubs, but also to take in Spanish culture and experience life in a different country.”

Anybody know where Elijah Rice developed? I know he was with the Chicago Magic not more than 1 year before last season

Elijah "Crunch" Rice is originally from Las Vegas where he previously played for Las Vegas Sports Academy. He joined Chicago Magic a little over a year ago.

How long was he there and did he play anywhere else?

Elijah lived in Vegas for 11 years before relocating to Highland Park. Over a 7 year span he played for various top-level clubs, most recently LVSA.
