[HIGH SCHOOL] Wolfgang Weber won his record fifth state championship in 30 years as the head coach of Tucson Salpointe with a 3-0 win over Scottsdale Notre Dame in the Arizona Division II final. Other state winners: Hamilton (Division I) and Cortez (Division III).

Weber broke the record he shared with Julie Walters of Catalina Foothills.

Hamilton gained revenge for its loss in last year's state final to beat Brophy Prep, 2-1, on Jordan Fletcher's golden goal in the Division I final.

Fletcher had evened the score in the second half to counter Riggs Lennon's 51st goal of the season for Brophy.

Hamilton had also lost the 2010 state final to Tempe Corona del Sol.

Daniel Lopez's goal gave Cortez a 1-0 win over Coronado in the Division III final.
