Landon Donovan, on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy, has been named Everton's Player of the Month for January. Donovan also received the honor two years ago while on loan with the Toffees.

Donovan, whose loan comes to an end after Saturday's FA Cup game vs. Blackpool, was a clear favorite for the prize after providing the assists for five of Everton's eight January goals.

"It feels good," Donovan said. "There was a point in January where no one was happy with the way we were playing but that changed and in the last few weeks it's been a lot more fun to be a part of.  The Manchester City game stands out. When you beat the leaders it's always special and my dad was there to see it too, so it really meant a lot to me."

Donovan set up Darron Gibson's goal in the 1-0 win over Manchester City.
