[U.S. YOUTH SOCCER] Teams will have to wait until the final weekend of play in the U.S. Youth Soccer National League March 23-25 in Las Vegas to see who will claim the eight berths up for grabs at this summer's National Championships. Chicago Magic and GSA Phoenix Red both had a chance to clinch but were stymied in action this past weekend at Weston (Fla.) Regional Park. For all the standings and leading scorers ...

Defending Region II champion Chicago Magic needed only a tie against West Pines United Black to seal the U-15 Blue division and an undefeated season, but Daniel Reese’s goal in the 20th minute lifted the Florida team to the 1-0 victory. Magic will now have to wait with a seven-point lead. Its only threat for the first spot comes from Albion SC White, which will need to win all three games next month.

Region III finalist GSA Phoenix Red had the chance to take home the U-16 Red division crown and a ticket to the National Championships with a win over AHFC, but it had to settle for a 2-2 tie with the South Texas team, earning the point on Joseph Sandres' goal in stoppage time. Beachside SC will need three wins in Las Vegas to overtake GSA.
