[AMERICANS ABROAD] Tim Howard held off Tottenham to help Everton extend its unbeaten streak to seven games with a 1-0 win over Brad Friedel's struggling Spurs, loser of three in a row. Tim Ream's Bolton Wanderers edged QPR, 2-1, in a game that saw the referee and his assistants miss a valid QPR goal. Ream had an assist on the first Bolton goal.
