Mexican First Division club Tijuana has added a sixth American, signing Alejandro Guido to a three-year contract.
Guido was born in Chula Vista,
Calif., on the border with Mexico, grew up in Tijuana and commuted to school in San Diego. He represented the USA at the 2011 Under-17 World Cup in Mexico and has been playing recently for the U.S.
U-20s.
Edgar Castillo (on loan from Club America), Greg Garza and U-23 Joe
Corona are playing on Tijuana's first team, while Guido's former U.S. U-17 teammate, Stevie Rodriguez, and Bryan De la Fuente, formerly with Chivas USA, are on
its U-20 team.
