[AMERICANS ABROAD]Clint Dempseybroke his own record for goals in a season by an American when he scored his 13th EPL goal of the season -- and 19th in all competitions -- in Fulham's 2-1 in over Norwich City.

It was quite a first half for the American, who scored in the 2nd minute, set up Irishman Damien Duff for the second goal in the 13th minute and hit the woodwork in the 44th minute. Dempsey needs only one more goal to tie the Fulham record for EPL goals in a season.

Jozy Altidore scored his team-high 11th goal of the Dutch Eredivisie season -- and 15th overall -- for AZ, but its 2-2 tie with Vitesse dropped it to second place behind Ajax.

In his first EPL start in more than a year, Eric Lichaj had a goal and an assist for Aston Villa in its 4-2 loss to Chelsea.

One of the up-and-comers is goalie Steve Clark, who had his second straight shutout for Honefoss in its 0-0 tie at Sogndal in Norway.
