[ECNL SPOTLIGHT] Slammers FC clubs enjoyed a strong weekend at the National Showcase Event Series at the San Diego Polo Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. The U-16s swept all three games and are tied for first place in the National Flight A standings with So Cal Blues, also winners of three games. Mackenzie Cerda scored six goals of the nine goals in the wins over FC Bucks, Albertson Fury and Ohio Elite Soccer Academy to give her 10 this season.

The U-16s also feature U.S. U-17 national team forward Kayla Mills, who has scored five goals in ECNL play.

The U-17s beat TSC Hurricane (2-0) and Freestate Soccer Alliance (3-1) after losing to McLean Youth Soccer (1-0) and are second in the National Flight A.

The 18s are 8-1-0 in the tough SoCal Conference though only tied for 11th in the national standings after tying Mustang and Colorado Rush and losing to PDA in San Diego.

Only the U-15s are in the bottom half of the National Flight A standings.
