Gibbs out 4-6 months with knee injury

[MLS INJURY REPORT] The Chicago Fire defender Cory Gibbs will be out 4-6 months after undergoing successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee on Tuesday. The former U.S. international suffered the injury last week in training when the Fire was idle. He was its 2011 Defender of the Year and had played every minute this season.
