Egypt, coached by American Bob Bradley, tied Iraq, 0-0, on Tuesday to extend its unbeaten streak to eight games. The Pharaohs had beaten Nigeria, 3-2, and Mauritania, 3-0, in its
other matches in the UAE over the last week and have a 6-0-2 record over the last eight games.
Bradley's big tests come in June when 2014 World Cup qualifying kicks off with games against
Mozambique June 1 and Guinea June 8, followed by 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Central African Republic on June 15 and 30.
Most of Bradley's players have been inactive
otherwise after the remainder of the Egyptian club season was canceled in the aftermath of the February riots.
Egypt's unbeaten streak includes wins over Uganda (2-1), Niger (1-0) and
Kenya (5-0).
