Munich police are investigating the theft of several pairs of cleats belonging to Real Madrid's stars that were stolen from Bayern Munich's stadium before their Champions League clash, a 2-1 Bayern win.
Two pairs of cleats and two jerseys belonging to Real star Cristiano Ronaldo were stolen from the Madrid locker room at the Allianz Arena. A pair belonging to Real's German midfielder Mesut Ozil were also taken. "We are now trying to look at who can give us advice in the matter," police spokesman Wolfgang Wenger confirmed to SID. "We are in contact with Real."
Real has already complained to UEFA, according to Spanish daily sports paper Marca.
AP reports that German radio station Bayern 1 says it will donate a pair of Bavarian folk shoes to Ronaldo.
