Dubbing them "the Miami Heat of soccer," President Barack Obama welcomed players and staff from the MLS champion Los Angeles Galaxy in the East Room of the
White House Tuesday.
David Beckham, Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan
were among the players on hand for the traditional White House reception for sports champions.
The Galaxy stayed at the White House afterwards for a clinic held in the State Dining Room
as part of the Let's Move program, Michelle Obama's initiative to instill healthy eating habits in children.
"As a soccer dad," said President
Obama, "I know you've inspired a lot of kids. And today you're giving them an experience that they will never forget."
