[EL PORTERO ALLSTATE] Jimmy Camacho, a 16-year-old goalie from Riverside, Calif., was awarded "El Portero Allstate" as the national winner of the “Good Hands” top goalkeeper award at the MLS Sueno 2012 competition.

Like Sueno winner Armando Flores, Camacho will also join the Chivas USA youth academy.

“This is a dream," he said. "It’s in the name, ‘Sueno.' I’m going to work hard now with Chivas USA and not settle. I’m going to step up my game with this opportunity I have.”

Coincidentally, Camacho and Flores were both born at Santa Ana Hospital and played on the same youth soccer teams.

“Jimmy has the personality to organize his team on the field and effectively communicate with his defense while absorbing the pressure of a game,” said former Mexican goalkeeping great Adolfo Rios, who mentored the goalie competition.  “He shows good reflexes, is explosive and has good control of the penalty area.”

And yet another FELICIDADES to Jimmy Camacho. As I commented on Armando's winning the "Sueno" competition, estamos muy orgullosos y te deseamos todo lo mejor y fortuna!!!
