[TELEVISION WATCH] Veteran announcer Phil Schoen has left GolTV USA after nearly a decade with the Miami-based network. With the impending arrival of Al Jazeera's be IN Sports, GolTV USA's future is uncertain.

Schoen was the primary soccer voice of MLS on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 in its early years.

"Today, after nearly a decade of thrills, I have resigned from GolTV," Schoen tweeted on Monday. "So many memories, so many friends. What's next? Watch this space."

(A GolTV colleague, Juan Arango, subsequently tweeted that Schoen had indeed joined IN Sports.)
