Hawks and Slammers FC take firsts and seconds

[ECNL] The Michigan Hawks (U-18), CASL Chelsea Ladies (U-17) and Slammers FC (U-16) won Elite Clubs National League titles at the National Finals held at the Waukegan (Ill.) SportsPark.

The Hawks beat Slammers FC, 4-0, in the U-18 final after beating Solar Chelsea, 1-0, in the semifinals.

In the U-17 championship game, CASL beat the Hawks in a shootout after their game ended in a 1-1 draw. CASL has crushed Dallas Sting, 5-0, to advance to the final.

After falling behind 2-0 in the first half of the U-16 final, Slammers FC rallied to beat Dallas Sting, 3-2, in overtime.

Colorado Rush and Arsenal FC had won the U-15 and U-14 titles.

The ECNL finals drew nearly 300 teams for the league's conclusion of its third season.
