Jordi Alba couldn’t hide his joy at being back at Barcelona. In his first press conference after signing with Barca from Valencia, the Spanish Euro
2012 star said, “I’m happy to come home, with my family and my people. I’ve realized my dream."
Barca soccer director Andoni
Zubizarreta said Alba was “dynamic, deep, intense and he has excellent technical ability. He’s good with both feet, he can play in different positions and he’s enormously
competitive.”
Alba was visibly touched when a video of him playing at Barcelona’s youth academy was shown. "No one likes to hear that they have to leave," he said, "but my
conscience was clear and I left with my head held high. I believed in myself. Before I was a striker, now I’m a left back."
