[AMERICANS ABROAD] U.S. international Ricardo Clark was one of four Americans to make their European debuts on Thursday. Clark and young defender Sean Cunningham started for Norway's Stabaek in its 2-0 loss to Finland's JJK in the first leg of the first qualifying round in the Europa League.

Stabaek is enduring a horrible season. It is last in the Tippeligaen with two wins, one tie and 10 losses in 13 games.

Cameroonian-born defender Etchu Tabe started for Finland's KuPS a 2-1 win over Welsh club Llanelli AFC.

Giuseppe Funicello started for Iceland's Thor Akureyri in a 0-0 draw at Irish club Bohemians.
