Uruguayan Diego Forlan, voted the best player at the 2010 World Cup, became the latest European-based star to move to Brazil when he signed a three-year deal
with Internacional.
The 33-year-old Forlan, who played in Europe for Manchester United, Villarreal, Atletico Madrid and most recently Inter Milan, will be introduced to fans on Saturday.
Internacional won the Copa Libertadores in 2006 and 2010.
Forlan's signing comes only days after Brazilian club Botafogo signed veteran Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf from AC Milan.
