Chivas USA rookie Jonathan Bornstein scored twice, including a long-range
shot that gave his team a 3-2 lead in stoppage time, but Colorado scored two
minutes later despite playing a man down (yellow-red to Mike Petke) to
earn a 3-3 tie. Jacob Peterson tapped in the tying goal after a fine
assist by Terry Cooke, who eluded a Chivas defender with an overhead
flick before storming down the flank and serving the cross. The game was part of
a doubleheader along with a 3-0 Club America win over San Luis that drew to
28,215 Invesco Field at Mile High.
