[SUMMER OF SOCCER] Another summer of soccer begins Wednesday when the Seattle Sounders host European champion Chelsea in the opening game of the World Football Challenge. Chelsea is bringing its newest signings, 21-year-old Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard and 23-year-old German winger Marko Marin, though it will be without Ashley Cole, John Terry, Florent Malouda, Raul Meireles and Fernando Torres, all on vacation until later in the tour after playing this summer at Euro 2012.

Also on Wednesday, Philadelphia Union will host Aston Villa (England).

This summer's visitors include Real Madrid and AC Milan and three French clubs, including Montpellier and Lyon, which will play in the French Super Cup at Red Bull Arena.
