The 911 call placed just prior to Crew midfielder Kirk Urso’s death early Sunday
morning has been released by authorities.
“It’s a very drunk person who fell down and now is unconscious,” the caller said.
The 22-year-old Urso collapsed at
Park Street Patio and died at 1:51 a.m. Sunday at Grant Medical Center. The 911 call was placed at 12:50 a.m. and lasted 18 seconds.
(Initial reports after an autopsy on Monday did not
reveal a cause of death, reported NBC4. Franklin County Coroner Dr. Jan
Gorniak said she is ordering toxicology testing, which will take at least six weeks. She also said "non-specific heart changes" were noticed and that they'll have to look at tissue under a
microscope. "It may or may not be anything," she said.)
