joined the Sounders in their inaugural season of 2009 and scored 12 goals. He followed up with 10 goals in 2010 and 12 in 2011. His hat trick on Saturday gives him 11 for the season and puts him in a
6-player tie for third in the Golden Boot race.
* Montero has scored in each of Seattle's last four games and has seven goals in the last six games.
* San Jose's Alan
Gordon joined the Golden Boot race with his 10th and 11th goals in the Quakes' 4-1 win over Colorado. The 30-year-old Southern California product had not scored more than five goals in his
previous eight MLS seasons.
