Steve Kean, manager of Blackburn Rovers, admitted he hadn't seen any of his three deadline signings --  Polish goalkeeper Grzegorz Sandomierski and Portuguese players Nuno Henrique and Diogo Rosado -- play in person before inking them to contracts.

"They're in the club now and we can have a real look at them," Kean said. "I've not seen them play live."

Kean said he relied on the recommendations of Shebby Singh, a former Malaysia international who had been working as a soccer pundit in Asia and in June was appointed to the role of Global Advisor by Blackburn.
