[MLS INJURY REPORT] The lights went out six minutes into Tuesday's Panama-Canada World Cup 2014 qualifier at Panama City's Estadio Rommel Fernandez, and when they came back on 14 minutes later, Canada and D.C. United fans were in for a surprise. D.C. United star Dwayne De Rosario was no longer in the game. He had suffered a suspected MCL knee injury and been substituted.

UPDATE: De Rosario will miss 10-12 weeks with an MCL sprain, meaning he'll miss the rest of the MLS season and Canada's last two Group C qualifiers.

De Rosario won the 2011 MLS MVP award with D.C. United after coming over from the New York Red Bulls.

In 44 games over the two seasons, De Rosario has 20 goals and 19 assists.

D.C. United lies in sixth place in the Eastern Conference with seven games to play in the regular season.

Canada fell to Panama, 2-0, and dropped to third place in Group C of their Concacaf qualifying group with two games to play.

Bummer for Canada. They will have to win in Honduras without DeRo, and it seems unlikely. They have barely scored with him!
