Hannover's Hungarian midfielder Szabolcs Huszti scored the gamewinner in last Saturday's 3-2 win over Werder Bremen -- then was ejected for his celebration. Referee Deniz
Aytekin showed Huszti a yellow card for removing his shirt, and a second yellow for climbing the perimeter fencing to celebrate in front of Hannover fans.
Huszti has scored three
of Hannover's last seven goals and assisted on the other four.
Hannover appealed in hopes of lifting Huszti's suspension for next weekend's game in Hoffenheim, but the German soccer
federation (DFB) said Aytekin’s decision "conforms with rules" drawn up "to prevent too much time-wasting through excessive goal celebrations."
Citing referees’ instructions
based on FIFA regulations, the DFB said if a player commits a second offense warranting a booking he "must be sent off with a second yellow card."
