Croatia international defender Domagoj Vida was fined 100,000 euros ($129,200) by Croatian champion Dinamo Zagreb for opening a can of beer Monday on the club's bus trip to a Croatian Cup game at minor league Vrsar.

In August, Brazilian-born Dinamo midfielder Sammir was fined almost $350,000 for partying at a Zagreb night club before a Champions League qualifying match against Moldova's Sheriff Tiraspol.

Vida could be a solid player if he gets his act together. He is definitely good enough for a bottom/mid table team in a top league.
