[CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Week 5] Mexico's Guadalajara had to settle for a 1-1 tie at Trinidad & Tobago's W Connection on Wednesday in the Concacaf Champions League, leaving it three points behind Xelaju of Guatemala with one game to play in Group 8. Guadalajara, which started American Jesus Padilla, will need to beat Xelaju by two goals or 1-0 to avoid becoming the first Mexican team not to reach the quarterfinals of the Concacaf Champions League.

-- Tigres will also need to beat Costa Rica's Alajuelense to win its group.

-- Santos, last year's runner-up, just needs to avoid a three-goal loss at home against Toronto FC to move on.
