[ECNL PHOENIX] First-year clubs Mountain View Los Altos (MVLA) and Texas Rush are among the clubs participating in the Elite Clubs National League's National Event Series this weekend in the Phoenix area. The action involving 140 teams will take place Saturday through Monday at the Reach 11 Sports Complex and Scottsdale Sports Complex.

MVLA Lightning's U-17s are one of the most talented teams in the country at any level.

Rush's U-14s are off to a 2-1-1 start, giving them the best record among the five Rush teams in the ECNL.

MVLA and Rush are among seven first-year clubs in the national league.

The Phoenix event is the first of five national events held throughout its eight-month regular season, leading up to the ECNL Finals next summer.

The 2012-13 National Event Series  will continue in Sanford, Fla. in December, Frisco, Texas, in February and San Diego in April and conclude at the Players Development Academy's tournament in Zarephath, N.J. in May.
