[MARBELLA CUP] U.S. Under-20 national team head coach Tab Ramos has named a 19-player roster for the team’s upcoming international friendlies against Canada, Scotland and Azerbaijan Oct. 6-17 at the 2012 Marbella Cup in Spain. The roster is dominated by pros, including Luis Gil of Real Salt Lake, Jose Villarreal of the Los Angeles Galaxy, Benji Joya of Mexican club Santos, Will Packwood of Birmingham City and Jonathan Brooks of Hertha Berlin.

Two players earned their first U-20 callups: goalkeeper Zackary Steffen of the FC Delco Academy in Pennsylvania and defender Shane O’Neill, who made his MLS debut for the Colorado Rapids in a 3-0 win on Sept. 5 against the Portland Timbers.

Liverpool under-18 midfielder Marc Pelosi was also called into the team. He was called up earlier this year, but was unable to join the team.
