[COACHING] Positive Coaching Alliance received its largest grant to date when the S.D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation pledged $2 million over the next three years to organization.

The Bechtel money is funding PCA’s “High Tech/High Touch Initiative.”

CEO Jim Thompson, who founded PCA in 1998 at Stanford University, said in a statement:

“Funding for this initiative is just what the PCA Movement needs at this time. Our success ultimately depends on people getting excited about PCA and becoming change agents. This initiative will improve our IT infrastructure, as well as help us unleash unprecedented people power in our drive to use sports to develop Better Athletes and Better People.”

"Central to our work is our models: The Double-Goal Coach®, whose first goal is winning, and whose second, more-important goal is teaching life lessons through sports". I'm not so sure these are the correct priorities for youth soccer. We already have plenty of "winning"--where is the concept of player development in all this? http://www.positivecoach.org/our-story/ ..this reads like a religious flyer for some well-funded-but-crazy preacher.
