[BY THE NUMBERS] The U.S. national team will set a team record for the best record in a single season with a win over Russia on Nov. 14. It will tie the current record held by Bruce Arena's national team in 2005 with a draw. Jurgen Klinsmann's team enters the game with a 9-2-2 record in 2012.

The Arena era ranks as the most successful in the modern era with four of his teams ranking in the top 20 for single-season record.

Interesting!!! As much as it seems like our defense is in disarray, we have lots of injuries, and we cant score or play well on offense; we actually have an excellent record!!! Maybe the best ever! And this excellent record was achieved against tough competition and during world cup qualifying! This really says alot and I have to give Klinsmann alot of credit!

STEADY (Sorry LFC)! In rarified air, we only have results to go by because we are many years after the Queiroz Report for 2010. We have great athletic stock; we have great coaching; we have phenomenal fields -- all we need is a refocusing on skills work from the youth ages on. Don't ask me why this hasn't been done effectively to date, but tactical goals seems to be it. Skills coaching; Tahuichi, Coerver, Tiki Take have to be incorporated to make US(A) better!! Let's do it....
