French giant Paris Saint-Germain, whose fans have a long history of hooliganism, has warned Croatian authorities that approximately a hundred or so supporters, some considered armed and dangerous, plan to travel to Zagreb for its UEFA Champions League match against Dinamo on Wednesday, despite the travel ban the club imposed on the match last month.

PSG vowed not to sell tickets or provide transportation or accommodation for fans to the Group A fixture for security reasons, as the possibility of a clash between the two sets of supporters has caused French club -- which has made a concerted effort to clean up hooliganism in the last few years -- to go out of its way to urge fans to stay at home.

In a statement made Sunday, PSG warned Croatian authorities of “persistent rumors that 100 individuals recognized as dangerous will travel independently to Zagreb for this match, which has been classified as high risk by UEFA.”
