[U.S. DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY] The New York Red Bulls are the highest scoring team so far at the U-17/18 level with 23 goals while D.C. United is producing the most at U-15/16 with 21 goals.

Ismar Tandir leads the 5-0-1 Red Bulls with seven goals. Gerson Umana, a 14-year-old El Salvador native, leads 6-0-0 D.C. United with six goals.

Eduardo Moreno has scored seven times and in all five games for 5-0-0 Sporting Kansas City, which leads the U-17/18 Frontier Division. Last season, Moreno scored 14 goals in Academy play and he has seen action with Sporting’s Reserve team in 2012. Moreno's teammate Erik Palmer-Brown was named Week 5 Player of the Week after helping Sporting to the perfect start in which his team has allowed only four goals.

Kansas City’s U-15/16s are also undefeated with a 4-0-1 record. Their leading scorer is Cole Stevenson with five goals.

Doyle Tuvesson has scored eight goals in five games for FC Delco's U15/16s, who are 4-1-0. …

Sergio Gonzalez earned Referee of the Week 5 honors after handling the Atlantic Division U-17/18 derby between D.C. United and Baltimore Bays Chelsea. The 21-year-old Gonzalez is a Grade 6 referee from Maryland, has worked seven Academy matches since March, and has been a linesman in the W-League.
