[ECNL SPOTLIGHT] Emily Bates, a 15-year-old who has already committed to attend Texas A&M after she graduates from high school in 2015, scored a hat trick and assisted for the Dallas Texans last weekend to give her 12 goals this season.

The Melissa, Texas, native has five assists for the Texans, who lead the ECNL U-16 Texas Conference with a 6-1-0 record while scoring 22 goals and conceding only two. Second in scoring with five for the Texans is Frisco's Madison "Brooke" Hartsock.

… In U-14 action, the De Anza Force (Calif.) improved to 3-0-0 in conference play as Kayla Fong scored a hat trick in a 6-1 win over San Juan SC. Fong has eight goals in six games in all competitions. …
