"Obviously, we know what Landon has done for U.S. Soccer these last 10, 12 years, and all the qualities that he has. But since about 14 or 16 months, he's struggling with injuries and he's struggling with inner motivation. He brings it out in that interview, which I think is quite courageous of him. It's his call. It's his life. It's his career."

-- U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann, speaking on FOX Soccer's Goals on Sunday, responds to Landon Donovan's statements in an ESPN.com interview that he wasn't sure if he'll be a part of the USA's World Cup 2014 quest. (MLSSoccer.com)

Good response from Juergie, recognizes Donovan's obvious contributions and difficulties recently. Certainly the door is open and it's LD's decision going forward.
