Poor penalty meets worse goalkeeping

[VIDEO PICK: Off the Post] Penalty kicks at the U-17 Women's World cup provided a moment of levity, for those off the field, during this quarterfinal from Azerbaijan 2012.

France beat Nigeria on penalties 5-3 after a scoreless game in early October, and one of the penalties appeared to be a battle of who wanted it less between kick taker and shot stopper.

A couple notes on the players laying it on the line for their countries. The girl taking this penalty, Delphine Cascarino, is still just 15 years-old, and she’s now a world champion, as France beat North Korea to win the tournament. The keeper for Nigeria, Andy Gift, is just 17, and she allowed only one goal during four games in net prior to the penalties.

But none of that means this isn’t funny.
