[AMERICAN ABROAD: KNVB Cup] Jozy Altidore, whom U.S. national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann said he had not been in contact with since being left off the team for the two October World Cup 2014 qualifiers, scored two more goals for Dutch club AZ in its 4-2 win over amateur club SWZ Boso Sneek on Thursday in the KNVB Cup to give him 11 goals in all competitions this season.

Altidore finished off the scoring in the round-of-32 match with two goals in the first quarter of an hour in the second half.

After leading the league for much of the season, Altidore is now tied for second behind Vitesse's Bonno Wilfried in scoring with eight goals.

AZ contended for the league title for much of the season in 2011-12 but sits 10th in the Eredivisie heading into Sunday's match against VVV.
