[DRAW] Stanford, Portland, Maryland and North Carolina — ranked 1-4 in the Soccer America Women’s Top 25 rankings — are the four No. 1 regional seeds in theNCAA Division I Women’s Tournament.
All regional first- and second-round games will be played Friday and Sunday except the matches at UCLA, where the games will be played Thursday andSaturday to accommodate BYU, which does not play on Sunday.
The ACC led all teams with eight teams in the tournament. The Pac-10 has seven. The Big East and Big Ten have six apiece.
Of the 64 teams Soccer America projected to make the tournament, 61 earned bids. OnlyMiami (Fla.) and Denver weren’t selected. In their place, Virginia Tech and Auburn were picked.
