The Daily Breeze reported that a Dominguez Hills, Calif., police officer required medical treatment after being hit in the chin with a rock during a battle between about 150 Chivas USA and Club America fans that involved rock and bottle throwing outside the Home Depot Center on Sunday.

Ten officers in riot gear and took about a half hour to subdue clash that occurred before the game.

A crowd of 22,586 watched Chivas USA win the exhibition game on penalty kicks after Francisco Palencia scored for Chivas USA and Carlos Infante struck for Club America.
