Herkimer County claims ninth championship

[NJCAA DIVISION III] Herkimer County Community College defeated Montgomery College, 1-0, on Craig McCabe's overtime goal to successfully defend its NJCAA Division III men's national championship. The title was the Generals' ninth since the creation of Division III in 1994.

McCabe scored on a rebound off a shot by Michael Pope to claim the title for the Generals, who did not allow a goal at the national tournament.

The Generals (20-2-0) beat Brookdale CC, 1-0, and Bunker Hill, 3-0, to advance to the final.
