[HOME DEPOT CENTER CAMP] U.S. under-18 national team coach Javier Perez called up 24 players for the team’s week-long training camp that begins Saturday at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The U-18s are scheduled to face Canada twice.

(Click here for Perez's update on the U-18s.)

Perez brought in 16 of 20 players who made the last trip to Europe, where the U-18s beat the Netherlands, 4-2, while Amando Moreno, Brian Iloski, Christian Sady and Matt Miazga are set to enter their first training camp with the U-18s.

Moreno and Miazga play for the New York Red Bulls' U-17/18 team, while Sady comes from the New England Revolution Academy.

Iloski was one of 16 finalists in Nike’s “The Chance” competition and the leading goal scorer for the San Diego Surf U-17/18 side with five goals in seven appearances this season.

Kellyn Acosta (FC Dallas), Marco Delgado (Chivas USA) and Zach Pfeffer (Philadelphia Union) are the only players that have signed pro contracts with MLS clubs.

Midfielder Piakai Henkel has a developmental contract with the youth system of French third-division club Amiens SC, while forward Kosta Koukladas, who joined the team during the Netherlands camp, plays in the youth academy of Germany’s Rot-Weiss Essen and holds citizenship in the U.S., Greece and Germany.
