[VCU-SYRACUSE] Syracuse came back from two goals down after 13 minutes and beat VCU, 3-2, on Louis Clark's golden goal in the 108th minute to advance to the third round of the NCAA Division I Men's Tournament for the first time.

“Tonight was a fantastic college match,” SU head coach Ian McIntyre. “I am extremely proud of our team, which showed tremendous character and resolve.”

Juan Monge Solano scored on a free kick and Dennis Castillo converted a penalty kick to give the Rams the lead.

But Clark cut the deficit to 2-1 and Stefanos Stamoulacatos tied the match in the 30th minute on a pass from Clark.

Both VCU goalkeeper Andrew Wells and Syracuse's Alex Bono had great games to keep the game even.

Syracuse finally scored the game-winner with just over two minutes left in the second overtime when Ted Cribley sent a ball to Clark, who finished in the right corner.
