[AMERICANS ABROAD] Lindsey Horan's Paris St. Germain fell to Lyon, 1-0, before 1,200 fans at home in their top-of-the-table clash in France's Feminine Division 1. The one-goal loss was something of an achievement, given that Lyon had won its first eight games by a margin of 52-2.

Amandine Henry scored the lone goal for Lyon, which headed to Japan for the first Women's Club World Cup that begins Thursday in Saitama with two semifinals: NTV Beleza (Japan) vs. Lyon, the two-time European champion, and INAC Kobe Leonessa (Japan) vs. Canberra United (Australia).

NETHERLANDS. CoCo Goodson's FC  Twente remained unbeaten and atop the standings in the Dutch Bene Orange League with a 5-1 win over PSV.
