"I'm happy. I'm happily married. I would never stand for domestic violence. I've never been hit in my life."
-- U.S. goalkeeper Hope Solo, who married former NFL tight endJerramy Stevens on Nov. 13, a day after his arrest for domestic violence at Solo's house. Solo and her brother blamed a disturbance at the party on three unknown men. Officers maintained they had probable cause to arrest Stevens because they observed evidence of an altercation, including a cut on Solo's elbow, and his admission that the two had argued. But Stevens was released without being charged. On Wednesday, the same day Solo played for the USA against Ireland in Portland, Stevens was arrested in Florida for violating his probation stemming from a October 2010 drug-possession charge. (AP)
