Real to Offload Kaka in January

One player who is almost certain to move during the January transfer window is Real Madrid playmaker Kaka. The Brazilian was left out of Los Blancos’ squad for its recent Copa del Rey clash with Alcoyano; Copa del Rey games are often used for squad members not seeing league playing time, and Kaka’s absence indicates that Coach Jose Mourinho most likely wants to sell the 2007 Ballon d’Or winner.

Up until now, the favorites for his signature had been Brazilian club Corinthians or The New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer, but his agent, Bosco Leite, quashed those rumors on Friday when he revealed that the 30-year-old wants to stay in Europe. In that case, a return to former club AC Milan could be a possibility.

“It’s possible in future he could change his mind, but not now. Corinthians have never even contacted us,” Leite said.
