[MLS INJURY REPORT]Calen Carr, who opened the scoring for the Houston Dynamo at MLS Cup 2012 and whose injury in the second half proved to be the turning point of the game, will require to repair a torn ACL in his left knee. The injury was suffered in a collision with Omar Gonzalez. Moments after his exit, Gonzalez equalized for the Galaxy, which went on to repeat as MLS champion with a 3-1 win.

Carr, 3-0, will undergo several weeks of work prior to having surgery to repair the knee. The surgery date is yet to be determined. A time table for Carr’s return to the field will be established after the surgery.

Carr set a career-high for regular-season goals (4), starts (17) and minutes played (1,512). The Berkeley, Calif. native also recorded two postseason assists.
